2020 Vision and New Year's Resolutions

As the calendar rolls over into  a new year, New Year's Resolutions are always the craze. Some preachers feel compelled to preach against such things as man made traditions. However, with the right focus, a new & heightened commitment can be quite beneficial. Many churches also use the new year to incorporate themes for the entire year. Our theme at Faith Independent Baptist Church will focus around having 20/20 vision.

One way to have the right type of vision is to block out much of the extraneous noise found in the world. Unfortunately, it is becoming ever more difficult for people to do this. In fact, this excessive noise has contributed to the spiritual ADHD so prevalent among believers. 

Here is a suggested New Year's Resolution: Let 2020 be a year of God-focus. This Churchill quote is one of the things that most people including preachers have never learned. Some additional advice: as the Chihuahuas bark and growl and snap at your feet, just keep moving and don't give them the attention they so desperately crave--their little legs will soon tire for lack of attention and utter exhaustion. Can I get a witness?
